Description
Summary:H. challenges the traditional view that Thomas Aquinas alone influenced Catherine of Siena's mystical writings. H. investigates A.'s influence on Catherine's letters and 'Dialogo' and shows that the 'nouerim me, nouerim té of Soliloquia' II, i, 1 and the use of knowledge of the soul as a means to ascend to God (Soliloquia I, xv, 27), as well as several other passags from A.'s works, directly influence the fourteenth-century Sienese saint.
