Notes:Plotinus holds that while sensible world is an image of the intelligible world, the nature of the interlligible world cannot simply be abstracted from the sensible world, because the Froms produced by internal activity of intellect are only barely reflected in sensibles. Certain kinds of knowledge, however especially those relating to the numerical sciences, are muche closer to the real world of intelligibles than other kinds of more sensory-dependent knowledge.
