Notes: | The defensive wall in the northern sector of Roman Carthage (ca. 425 A.D.) lies along the foot of a winding exarpment, the course of which was determined by the wall. The built-up area of the Augustin colony extended north of decumanus VI. It flourished by the late 4th cent. A.D., declined in the 6th cent., and was redeveloped in the 7th cent. |
