| Sumario: | Discussion of excavations carried out by a British team fot the UNESCO project Pour Sauver Carthage. On the island in the circular by Appian, in Libyca VII, 96 succeeded earlier Punic occupation periods and were followed by two successive Roman temples and a building, probably a lighthouse, then domestic and commercial occupation of the 5th and 16th century A.D. On the north shore of the harbor, remains of the late Roman quayside and associated streets and buildings were found. On an island site, south of the Roman street grid, remains buildings, from the 3rd tot the 6th Century, were exposed, as well as part of the city wall constructed during the reign of Theodosius II.
