Summary:In this article, the two most important contemporary art movements Impressionism and Cubism will be dealt with the 'time' concept and the differences of both movements in this regard will be examined. To this end; in the first section, the active role of the 'time' in the Impressionism movement, its reflection forms to the works will be examined with the company of Aristotle’s philosophical approaches to the 'time' concept. In the second part, the relations of artistic production forms with the 'time' in the Cubism will be handled, the results to be obtained here will be evaluated with the company of Augustine's views on the 'time' concept. During this study, the perception forms of the 'time' concept in Impressionism and Cubism, its reflection forms to the works of artists will be examined and the basic differences of both art movements on this issue will be explained.
