Description
Summary:Abstract : St. Augustine is asking himself without ceasing the meaning of the death of Christ on the cross. He finds the answer in St. Paul: 'New Creation'. God has created the world. All things got engraved into themselves as footprint of the Word. 'for whom all has been made'. All is the Word of God. The sin emerges and with the sin come darkness and confusion. The man feels lost, disoriented in this world, and does not cease to ask himself the meaning of life. God does not abandon man. He offers him the light of the Scripture, even the Word Itself for whom all things were made. He made Himself man, even more He killed death itself, He killed sin. The cross is the death of pride, of arrogance. In it shine again the lights of the gift, of the surrender, of the arrogance, of gratuity. With it a new creation emerges more radiant than the first one. He who created us, recreated us by the Cross.
