Summary:The contribution presents some developments with regards to the term and notion of persona in pre-Chalcedonian Latin Christology with particular reference to the contributions of the Pseudo-Athanasius' De Trinitate (books 10-11) and Augustine of Hippo. It presents also elements on the progressive identification of the notion of persona with the second hypostasis of the Trinity, identification defined defined by the great Christological Councils of the 5th and 6th centuries.
