Summary: | Summary : We are aware that the experience of evangelical poverty is difficult to congretize because it is easily camouflaged by so many justifications. It is even perhaps more feasible to live it at the personal than at the social and institutional level. Those who live in community nevertheless, cannot be satisfied with it. The current sensitivity towards the poor and the cruel iniquity of the hegemonic economic system warns us that it is not enough to individually live out poverty, if the institution accumulates goods and even boasts about them. In this article, the main insights on poverty according to the Augustinian charism are presented, in a more experiential than theoretical way, and some guidelines are offered for living it communally according to the circumstances of our time. |
