Description
Summary:Abstract : Augustine of Hippo can be cited among the major exponents of Christian philosophy and theology who, in the late antiquity, meaningfully contributed to the affirmation of Christian thought in the midst of the contrasting schools of thought through which clearly sounded the death knell of the authority of the pagan thinkers as guides. In this paper the author has examined Justice in Augustine from the theoretical and practical points of view. For this reason, he carried out an overview of the theory of Justice diffused in the various works of the Bishop of Hippo, without any pretention to give an exhaustive account considering the very limited space we have in this avenue. Then, he considered the praxis of Justice by Bishop Augustine in his diocese at the service of the people of God and in relation with civil authorities.
